Yash Daryanani, immersed in the world of swimming since the tender age of 4, made waves as the first Surinamese swimmer to conquer the challenging 1,500-metre backstroke at the age of 13, clocking an impressive time of 22 minutes and 21 seconds. Transitioning to coaching at the age of 20, Yash has garnered extensive international experience, participating in various prestigious competitions such as Carifta, Goodwill, CCCAN, CISC, Odesur, Consude, CAC, OECS, World Championships, and the Olympics. His coaching journey led him to the grand stage of the Olympic Games in both 2016 and 2021. Yash also proudly represented Suriname in the World Championships of 2014, 2018, and 2019, as well as Curacao in 2021. Adding to his achievements, in 2022, he took on the role of initiating the first Junior National Swim team in St. Kitts & Nevis.
