Paul Newsome

Founder of Swim Smooth and one of the world’s most respected voices in adult swim coaching. With over 25 years of coaching experience, Paul has worked with complete beginners through to elite triathletes and professional open-water swimmers. Swim Smooth is the official coach education partner to British and World Triathlon, and its methodology is now used by certified coaches in over 100 countries worldwide.
Paul’s coaching style is practical, evidence-led, and highly personable, with a strong emphasis on coaching the swimmer, not the stroke, and creating an environment where swimmers feel supported, challenged, and inspired to improve.
