Swim in Balance, a respected swimming school from the Netherlands, brings its expertise to the Adriatic coast for an exceptional week of training. Their method is rooted in the Alexander Technique, a practice trusted by professional athletes, musicians, and performers to cultivate greater efficiency in both body and mind. The outcome is a smoother, more sustainable swimming style that conserves energy and helps prevent injury, often accompanied by improved posture and mental clarity.
Set in a heated 25-meter indoor pool overlooking the Adriatic Sea, this camp is thoughtfully designed for all levels. Whether you are refining a new stroke or a triathlete aiming to sharpen your front crawl, the setting and instruction are tailored to meet you where you are. For those managing back, shoulder, or neck concerns, the camp offers a supportive environment for improvement and long-term well-being.
Over the course of the week, you will leave feeling renewed. You will gain confidence in two strokes of your choice, along with a deeper understanding of balance, alignment, and focus in the water.

COACH PROFILE
Esther Visser
The camp is led by Esther Visser, founder of Swim in Balance. She is a professional violinist, certified Alexander Technique teacher, swimmer, and PhD researcher. She will coach you together with some other teachers who were trained by her. Esther will teach the Alexander Technique sessions in the afternoon, and individual sessions with her are available. For over 10 years, Esther has run an Alexander Technique practice in the Netherlands, 'Move in Balance’, and she is regularly invited to give workshops and masterclasses internationally. Her swim school, "Swim in Balance' offers swim courses at 5 locations in the Netherlands year-round. Swim in Balance has been successfully organizing swim camps at this hotel in Croatia for over 20 times since 2017.

2 Swim in Balance® swimming courses of your choice, a wonderful boat trip/snorkel/open water swimming excursion in the middle of the week

Language
The primary language spoken in Croatia is Croatian. However, the camp will be instructed in English, and all instructors are fluent in English.
Flight
The nearest airport is Pula Airport (PUY), located just a short drive from Medulin. Alternatively, visitors can fly into Rijeka Airport (RJK) or Zagreb Airport (ZAG) and travel by car or bus to the coast.
Climate
A Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Medulin enjoys plenty of sunshine during the summer months.
Currency
The official currency used in Croatia is the Euro (EUR), as Croatia adopted the Euro in 2023.
