Athletes 12 to 16 years old will follow the same plan but with lower loads and more emphasis on technique.

COACH PROFILE
Giannis Psarelis
Triathlon coach Giannis Psarelis is a qualified running and swimming coach with over 35 years of experience. Currently the Head Coach of the Dave Scott Performance Team, he has worked with over 300 athletes, from amateurs to professionals. As a former Sports Director of a High-Performance Centre, he directed 16 national teams and logged over 15,000 in-person coaching hours.
Giannis holds prestigious memberships with Triathlon New Zealand, ASCA, and the Ironman Coaches Association. With several postgraduate degrees in sports management and physiology, he brings a scientific approach to coaching, focusing on performance analysis and athlete profiling. His coaching philosophy emphasises comprehensive athlete development, blending endurance, strength, and mental resilience.
An expert in swimming, cycling, and running, Giannis tailors his methods to individual needs, using cutting-edge techniques to help athletes excel.
